Hong Kong graduates reunite for reunion
Hong Kong alumni from the University of Wolverhampton reunited at a reunion event held recently.
The annual reunion was held in Hong Kong welcoming graduates living in the region, as well as University staff, stakeholders and new alumni who graduated from SCOPE, a partner institution located in the city.
The annual event has been running for more than 20 years giving graduates the opportunity to share stories of their career journeys and network with staff.
Daniel Mak, Chairman of the University of Wolverhampton Hong Kong Alumni Association, graduated in 1994 in Bachelor of Laws and organised this year’s reunion.
Daniel said: “Supporting the University of Wolverhampton and organising the annual dinner was a privilege. I was honoured to give back and contribute my efforts towards shaping the future of graduates and leaders of the University.
“Having earned a law degree from this prestigious institution paved the way for further studies and my eventual qualification as a professional registered teacher in Hong Kong.”
Dr Paul Hampton, Head of School of Architecture and the Built Environment at the University, said: “It was a pleasure to gather with alumni, colleagues, business partners and friends on this wonderful occasion. Our relationship with Hong Kong is a special one, spanning many years and this dinner gave us an opportunity to maintain close relationships and develop new ones.
“I'm very grateful for the support of the Alumni Association, SCOPE and our partners in the region, who continue to passionately advocate our University.”
After graduation, graduates become members of the Alumni Association and are encouraged to keep in touch, to take advantage of a wide range of benefits and support on offer, including a discount for postgraduate study.
