Preparing for Holy Week, A Poetry Workshop

Join poet, R. M. Francis, Course Leader for Creative and Professional Writing, for this Holy Week workshop, followed by a poetry reading.

  • Where: St Peter's  Collegiate Church

In the beautiful and historic St Peter's Collegiate Church, Lich Gates, opposite Wulfruna (MA) Building, Wolverhampton, Rob will lead you through a series of creative writing ideas and prompts based on some of the important icons and narrative moments of Easter. We'll be drawing on ideas of love, sacrifice, community and more in this inclusive creative exploration.

This workshop will be followed by a short reading of R. M. Francis' recent poems which he considers poetic icons and prayers, at 4pm. 

We welcome those new to poetry as well as experienced writers, and the workshop is designed for all interested in the ideas of Holy Week - all faiths and none, all viewpoints, all voices.

Attendees are welcome to remain in St. Peter's for the beautiful service of Choral Evensong at 5.15pm, tea will be available whilst you wait served by the University of Wolverhampton Chaplaincy team.
