Nominations are now open for the Alumni Awards 2024

The University of Wolverhampton is proud to be hosting its 3rd annual Alumni Awards ceremony on 7 November 2024, recognising the incredible achievements and careers of our alumni and dedicated volunteers.

This prestigious event will be a celebration of our alumni successes, involving high-profile graduates and friends of the University to help make it a fabulous occasion to remember.

David Wedge, Deputy Head of Alumni Relations, said: "We are delighted to be celebrating the third annual Alumni Awards. 

“Our alumni are our greatest ambassadors, and by celebrating their success, we can raise the profile of the University, and show the world what a University of Wolverhampton degree can lead to.

"The awards are a celebration of our graduates all around the globe, and with your help, we can make this a really special event. We are looking for nominations of graduates that you know have gone on to achieve amazing things, whether it be in their profession or supporting communities. Whatever it is, if you think a graduate's success is special please do get in touch and make an nomination, and help us really shout about the successes of our own alumni."

Nominations are now open

We’re currently looking for nominations for the awards ceremony – so we need your help!  They could be a former student, a fellow colleague, or you can even nominate yourself. 

The nominee must be a University of Wolverhampton alum who has contributed to the community, demonstrated active engagement with the University, or is highly accomplished in their field.  There are eight award categories this year, each with its own criteria, which you can find on the Alumni Awards 2024 page.

The categories are:  

  • UK Alumni Volunteer of the Year Award
  • International Alumni Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Entrepreneurial Award
  • Wulfrunian of the Year Award
  • Humanitarian of the Year Award
  • Professional Excellence Award
  • Young Alumni of the Year Award
  • The Alumni Honor Award for Lifetime Achievement 

The closing date for all nominations is Tuesday 23 July 2024.

The Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday 7 November 2024 in The Chancellor's Hall, and will also be streamed live around the globe.
