The OpenBright Foundation awards research grants to help women develop university-level research projects in computing and IT-related subjects.  To benefit from the programme and receive research funding submit your application by 24 April.

In November 2022 a number of Wolverhampton students applied for funds to help with their studies. Following a review process three applicants in the School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences were selected for support to the value of almost £6,000.

The University of Wolverhampton is currently one of only two UK Universities eligible to participate in this programme. The Spring Call for OpenBright Awards is live and closes on Monday 24 April 2023. If you are a female student pursuing UG or PG (Master's or PhD) in computing and passionate about your research work, you are eligible to apply for these awards. Please look at the FAQ page or get in touch with me (Vinita Nahar at Vinita.Nahar@wlv.ac.uk) for more information about the awards and the application process

We thank OpenBright for supporting and encouraging our students. Thanks to the team Professor Amar Aggoun, Professor Andrew Pollard, and Senior Lecturer Herbert Daly who were also involved in establishing this successful new initiative.
