Open Access Week: Open up your horizons with our new Canvas course
- Do you want to know how to manage your research data effectively?
- Do you want to publish something on open access?
- Do you want to share data from your research project?
- Would you like to explore the paths to open research?
- Do you want to make sure that your outputs are REF compliant?
Officially launching this OA Week 2024, the Scholarly Communications Team have put together an online learning course that covers all these issues and more. There are five modules in all, each of which will take 1-2 hours to complete (though they could take longer if you fall down an open access rabbit hole).
Each module features a mixture of video and text, along with links to helpful resources and further reading, alongside activities designed to help you engage with the concepts and reflect on your own practice.
A digital badge will soon be available for those who meet requirements to become an “open researcher”.
Once you enrol on the course, you can take part any time you want for as long as you want and go over content as often as you need. Each module features a self-assessment quiz that allows you to gauge how much you’ve learned. If you want to follow up on any parts of the course or would like to ask any questions before enrolling, you can contact the Scholarly Communications Team.
