Security systems
The University has a campus-wide barrier system and CCTV scheme across each site, and these are in operation and monitored 24 hours a day by in-house staff. Our security systems aim to promote a safe community environment and protect the University's staff, students, visitors, and assets.
The University of Wolverhampton’s CCTV system is a comprehensive image only system whose principal purpose is for the detection and prevention of crime and the safeguarding of all users of the University Estate, these cameras cover Telford, Walsall and City Campuses. The images are monitored 24 hours a day from all sites by trained officers who all comply with the University Code of Practice and all relevant Data Protection legislation.

The Security team operates intercoms at barrier and refuge points 24 hours a day, year-round. All calls across this equipment may be monitored and recorded for training, quality and assurance purposes.
