Successful visit to Pakistan

New links have been forged by the University of Wolverhampton during an international visit to Pakistan.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Geoff Layer and Head of Trans-national Education (TNE) Dr Debbie Gilliland visited The Millennium University College (TMUC) in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The purpose of the visit on 27 and 28 June 2018 was to meet with TMUC management, stakeholders and students. 

The University plans to offer courses in Hospitality, Law and Civil and Construction Engineering in the future.

Meetings were also held with the Higher Education Commission, the President of Kashmir, The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission and the Board of Investment. 

Professor Layer gave a keynote speech at a TMUC forum on the challenges of TNE.

Prof Layer said: “We were delighted to visit TMUC and are looking forward to working with our partners there in the future. Transnational education is an important part of our international strategy and this was a great opportunity to meet with TMUC students, staff and senior officials.”
