Mohammad Sayeed student UN placement

Final-year international student has been successful in his application for a UN Human Resources Internship.

With his final year studies in BA (Hons) Human Resource Management almost at an end, Business School student, Mohammad Sayeed, has successfully obtained a six-month Human Resources internship with global organisation, the United Nations. Mohammad's undergraduate course has included opportunities for the development of HR-specific employability skills, which he credits with helping him to achieve his career goal.

The UN, which is self-styled as "the world's only truly universal global organisation", strive for peace, dignity and equality across the globe and provides a limited number of graduate opportunities in a range of business areas. However, what all internships have in common is the desire to promote the career development of successful applicants, such as Mohammad, who will be working remotely for a six-month period.

Mohammad credits his achievement, in part, to the "assistance and support" of his lecturers in Human Resource Management, which, he states, helped him to land such a prestigious role. Colleagues and peers across the Business School wish Mohammad well in his internship and, with him, celebrate his success as a "team win" for UWBS!

Janet Cash, Senior lecturer in Human Resources and Leadership said: "Everyone in the Department of Management and Leadership is immensely proud of Mohammad's achievement in obtaining such a prestigious role. Mohammad has been such a delight to teach, evidenced by the warm reception which met the news of his new internship across the department. We have no doubt that Mohammad will continue to grow and develop, in this and future roles, where we are confident that he will make an invaluable contribution to the people profession and we wish him continuing success in the future!"
