Carriageway Improvement Works on Shifnal Road, Telford Campus: Wednesday 5 - Wednesday 12 April

As part of Telford Council's ongoing investment into its roads and footpath, Carriageway Resurfacing Works will shortly be carried out on Shifnal Road, Priorslee. 

The road improvement work is due to take place on Wednesday 5 April and be completed by Wednesday 12 April (weekdays only), weather permitting. The works will be carried out under a Road Closure, which will be in place between 8 am-5 pm on weekdays.  

Staff and students are asked to keep vehicle movements to a minimum and not to part on the road during this time. Access and exit will be via the rear bus gate off Priorslee Avenue for this period. 

Access will be maintained during the works for residents and for emergency vehicles although there will be short periods of time when the contractors will require residential and commercial traffic to be excluded. 

These works are being delivered as part of the Council's investment programme to 'Protect, Care and Invest to create a better borough.' Between 2022 and 2024 over £35m is being invested to keep neighbourhoods safe, clean and well connected. The 'Pride in our Community' Highways Capital Programme will deliver improvements to infrastructure including roads, footpaths, parking, sustainable transport, street furniture and structures.
