Covid-19 vaccine pop-up at City Campus

As we approach the festive period and move into the winter months, it is more important than ever that everyone is doing all they can to keep our community safe and our campuses Covid-informed.

We ask everyone on campus to wear a face-covering and give each other plenty of space. Another way we can all help protect each other is to get fully vaccinated

The University has partnered with the City of Wolverhampton Council to offer students the chance to get their jab at a vaccine pop-up on City Campus this week.

This is open to all students, and you do not need to book an appointment. Just come along at any time.

  • Location: The Ambika Paul Building entrance.
  • Opening times: Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 December, 10 am to 4 pm.

The pop-up will be offering first, second and booster doses of the vaccine for anyone eligible. Please be aware that booster vaccines are only available to those over 40 years old who received their second dose at least six months ago. More information about vaccine eligibility is available on the NHS website

EU and international students can get vaccinated in the UK – the vaccine is available free to everyone, regardless of nationality or immigration status.

We have set up a dedicated coronavirus vaccine webpage to help you stay up to date with the latest information for booking your appointment and walk-in vaccination opportunities close to our campuses.

Personal safety

Whether you’re living independently for the first time or you've been in Wolverhampton for a while, we want to make sure you can safely enjoy your experience here at the University.

This week, our vaccine pop-up at City Campus is being supported by the local fire service and our University PCSO (Police Community Support Officer). They will be on-hand to provide advice and guidance on keeping yourself and your home safe.

Our Personal Safety webpages contain lots of helpful information for students on keeping yourself safe when on campus and in the community. Including top tips, safer walking routes, how to contact our Security team and reporting an incident or safeguarding concern.

We encourage everyone to download the SafeZone app. The app promotes safety in many ways, including fast access to the University's security team whenever and wherever you are on campus. You can also 'check-in' on SafeZone if you are studying alone on campus or outside regular hours.
