WLV Sport Challenge: April 2021

Throughout April, WLV Sport is continuing to roll out challenges as part of their #BucsActive4 project.

You may have seen previously, the project is aimed at increasing students' activity levels through a range of virtual challenges. The project started last month and has already engaged with a number of students.

Now, it is your chance to get involved! There are two challenges to participate in throughout April.

The first is a photography challenge - we want our students to get outdoors and take photos of their community. WLV Sport has defined five categories, which they would like the images to fall into. For each photo, participants will win reward points, and at the end of the month, an independent panel will choose their favourite photo. The photographer who took this image will then be rewarded with a unique prize.

The second challenge is physically based. WLV Sport wants the WLV community to travel the distance of the North Coast 500 route (Scotland's equivalent to Route 66). You can contribute your miles to the cause through walking, running, cycling, swimming or wheelchair pushes. This challenge is easy to get involved with. You can connect your fitness tracking device to the Playwaze app, and every time you record activity, the data will automatically sync to the challenge database.

Reward points are on offer for this challenge as you reach specific milestones starting at 1 mile. To take part in the challenges, head to www.wlv.ac.uk/getactive. Alternatively, you can download the 'Playwaze' app from your app store and search for the 'WLV challenges' community.

It is free and simple to get involved, so what are you waiting for. Prizes vary from sports kit, fitness giveaways, prize draws, Gift vouchers, WBA FC store discount, Walsall FC merchandise and much more. There is really something for everyone!
