Foundation year courses

A foundation year can be an excellent option if you would like a direct route into higher education, but:

  • don’t meet the entry requirements for the course
  • have a non-traditional educational background
  • want extra time and teaching to build your confidence before starting a full degree

Prepare for Foundation Assessment Days

Don't meet the minimum of 48 UCAS Points? You'll need to attend Prepare for Foundation Assessment Days. 

If you have applied to study a degree course with a foundation year at the University of Wolverhampton then we run Prepare for Foundation Assessment Days which are mandatory to the application process should you not meet a minimum of 48 UCAS points.

If you have applied to study a Health Professions (Nursing, Allied Health or Midwifery) degree course with a foundation year at the University of Wolverhampton then we run Prepare for Foundation (Health) Assessment Days which are mandatory to the application process.

Courses: The Prepare to Foundation (Health) Assessment Day applies to applicants of the following courses only:

BMid (Hons) Midwifery with Foundation Year, BNurs (Hons) Adult Nursing with Foundation Year (all campuses), BNurs (Hons) Children's Nursing with Foundation Year, BNurs (Hons) Learning Disability Nursing with Foundation Year, BNurs (Hons) Mental Health Nursing with Foundation Year (all campuses), BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy with Foundation Year, BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science with Foundation Year, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy with Foundation Year and BSc (Hons) Podiatry with Foundation Year
