SPARK Business Incubation Centre

SPARK is currently the University of Wolverhampton’s only city-based start-up incubator supporting regional entrepreneurs.  We are centrally located at The University of Wolverhampton Science Park, one mile from the city centre.

SPARK, like all incubators is dedicated to supporting entrepreneurial and creative endeavours by catering to the needs of enterprising individuals and teams.  Our mission is to be “the home of start-ups” retaining science, creative and tech talent in the local area and attracting investment to the Black Country, Staffordshire and The Marches.

We actively encourage our start-up companies to join in our collaborative environment.  We believe that the SPARK community and the relationships that develop between entrepreneurs and with local support organisations are an important factor in achieving long-term business sustainability.

SPARK provides support to new start businesses trading less than 2 years in the science, creative, tech, engineering and construction fields developing them from initial innovation through strategic growth.  We do this by providing informative leadership programmes in partnership with the University and our many regional support agencies.  We provide our business leaders not only with professional development, access to relevant connections, coaches, and mentors but also with vital start-up resources.

SPARK SPACE

SPARK offers fully furnished office space of varying size and flexible co-working space with all-inclusive rents that are heavily subsidised.  We are flexible throughout their time with us ensuring our entrepreneurs can upsize smoothly to larger office space as their company grows.

More importantly, SPARK has created space to think and innovate………with soft seating zones, informal break out areas, mobile white boards, and wellbeing support. We also have a stylish kitchen diner with tea and coffee and instant hot water, a board style meeting room, a conference room, and a professional photo studio.
